Configuring SpIDer Guard

 

Note

To access the SpIDer Guard settings, you are prompted to enter the password if you set Protect Dr.Web settings by password check box on the Self-protection page in Dr.Web Main settings window.

 

SpIDer Guard settings are not available in User mode.

 

SpIDer Agent provides you with the main SpIDer Guard management and configuration features. To access them, select the SpIDer Guard submenu in the SpIDer Agent menu. The default settings are optimal for most uses. Do not change them unnecessarily.

 

To configure SpIDer Guard

1.Click the SpIDer Agent icon  SpIDer Agent icon in the notification area.

2.Select SpIDer Guard, and then select Settings. The SpIDer Guard tab of the Dr.Web settings window opens. It contains the following pages:

The Scanning page, where you select a scan mode for files and processes.

The Actions page, where you can configure reactions of SpIDer Guard to various virus events.

The Excluded Files page, where you can configure folders and files to be excluded from SpIDer Guard checks.

The Excluded Processes page, where you can specify a list of processes to be excluded from SpIDer Guard checks.

3.Configure options as necessary. To get information on options available on the page, click Help.

4.After editing, click OK to save the changes or Cancel to cancel them.
