Configuring SpIDer Gate

 

Note

To access the SpIDer Gate settings, you are prompted to enter the password if you set Protect Dr.Web settings by password check box on the Self-protection page in Dr.Web Main settings window.

 

SpIDer Gate settings are not available in User mode.

 

SpIDer Agent provides you with the main SpIDer Gate management and configuration features. To access them, select the SpIDer Gate submenu in the SpIDer Agent menu. The default settings are optimal for most uses. Do not change them unnecessarily.

 

To configure SpIDer Gate

1.Click the SpIDer Agent icon  SpIDer Agent icon in the notification area.

2.Select SpIDer Gate, and then select Settings. The SpIDer Gate tab of the Dr.Web settings window opens. It contains the following pages:

The Scanning page, where you can set scan mode for HTTP traffic.

The Actions page, where you can set actions on threat detection as well as specify advanced settings of HTTP traffic check.

The Excluded Applications page, where you can list applications to be excluded from SpIDer Gate monitoring.

3.Configure options as necessary. To get information on options available on the page, click Help.

4.After editing, click OK to save the changes or Cancel to cancel them.
