On this page, you can specify settings of mail scanning by SpIDer Mail.

Scan Options
The following settings allow you to configure additional mail scanning parameters:
•Heuristic analysis – in this mode, special methods are used to detect suspicious objects infected with unknown viruses with high probability. To disable the analyzer, clear the Heuristic analysis check box.
•Check of installation packages. This option is disabled by default.
Using SpIDer Mail as a proxy server
SpIDer Mail can intercept connections to the following mail servers:
•POP3 servers
•SMTP servers
•IMAP4 servers
•NNTP servers
To configure connection interception settings and enable use of SpIDer Mail as a proxy server, click Change.
Advanced settings
Advanced users can specify more flexible settings of mail check, actions on messages and optimization parameters. To access the advanced settings, click Advanced.
