Running Dr.Web Updater

 

Note

A connection to the Internet is required to use Dr.Web Updater.

 

You can start an update in one of the following ways:

From the command line

From the SpIDer Agent menu

All necessary parameters can be defined on the Update page of Dr.Web Main settings.

Dr.Web Updater

For details on a certain option, click the corresponding item in the picture.

 
Click the SpIDer Agent icon SpIDer Agent icon and select Updater. This opens a window with information on relevance of Dr.Web virus databases and other components as well as the date of their last update.

If necessary, you can start updating by clicking Start. If update is not required, close the window.

You can also start an update by using the command line. For this, open the Dr.Web installation folder (usually, C:\Program Files\DrWeb) and run the drwupsrv.exe file.

 

Note

If launched automatically, Dr.Web Updater installs updates silently and logs all changes into the dwupdater.log file located in the %allusersprofile%\Doctor Web\Logs\ folder.

 

Dr.Web Updater can display a notification in the notification area. If necessary, you can configure desktop and email notifications.
