Spam Checks

Dr.Web for MIMEsweeper uses VadeRetro technology to detect unsolicited messages in the mail transmitted via ClearSwift MIMEsweeper for SMTP. The VadeRetro spam filter is supplied configured and needs no additional teaching. The plug-in performs spam checks according to the Dr.Web Content Scanner scenario :

Description

Include all data types

If you select this option on the Data Types tab of the Dr.Web Content Scanner properties window, the plug-in performs spam checks.

Exclude selected data types, Containers | SMTP message

If you select this option under the Containers node in the data types list on the Data Types tab of the Dr.Web Content Scanner properties window, the plug-in does not perform spam checks.

On threat cannot be removed

If you select this option on the Classifications page of the New Content Scanner wizard, the spam messages detected using Dr.Web for MIMEsweeper are labeled according to the selected option. (The default is Virus.)

The content filter assigns the same classification to unsolicited messages and messages which Dr.Web for MIMEsweeper cannot neutralize. (The default classification is Virus.) Such messages are automatically moved to the quarantine. To differentiate spam messages and infected messages, you can add headers to  messages before they are moved to the quarantine.

You can also completely disable spam checks.
