Connecting to Servers

Dr.Web CMS Web Console allows you to connect to other servers that have CMS running. Perform the following steps to establish a connection:

1.Right-click the host icon in the console tree and select Add host.

2.In the next window, specify address of a host you want to connect to and click OK.

3.Enter credentials used to connect to the host. If the credentials are correct, the connection will be established and the console tree will display the new host.

This way you can connect to an unlimited number of machines and manage their operation. The settings of each connection are stored in a separate group of Dr.Web CMS Web Console and can be found in /Dr.Web CMS Web Console_1.0/Application Settings/Hosts. Each added host is shown as a group. The name of each group is composed of host connection address. Each group contains three variables:

Address—host connection address.

Login—login for connecting to the host.

Password—password used for connecting to the host.

If any of the credentials change, you may not be able to connect to the host. In this case you have to change Dr.Web CMS Web Console connection settings used for connecting to this host.

At next launch,Dr.Web CMS Web Console will automatically connect to all added hosts. In order to remove a host, you have to delete a corresponding group with connection settings from Dr.Web CMS Web Console settings groups in Dr.Web CMS Web Console_1.0/Application Settings/Hosts.
